I hope my cactus can bloom, in fact, they didn't survive through the summer after I bought them last year. I think I'm just not that kind of person who can keep plants/flowers. lol
I don't "keep" them... they do well in San Diego. Right climate... for almost and thing! ^^ I took some more pix today. Even more blooms(!) I shall post tomorrow...
so envy.. I think I'm just not the right person to keep plants.. haha.. the cacti all cannot survive for more than 3 months! So I have gave up in keeping any plants. ;p
I don't have any indoor plants. They refuse to come in! lol
All the ones we have thrive naturally in the mild San Diego climate. Most anything can grow here, with minimal attention. All the rains this year have made the blooms explode! Cacti can wait for years, till the conditions are right. Out in the desert behind our coastal mountains, they had the best wild flower blooms in many years! Everyone thinks that the desert is dead, but life is everywhere!! Tenaciousness!!
Cacti vary widely in requirements. Some love full sun. Some seek shade. Don't over water. Plant place can help you find the right ones. Look to see what other peeps have. Sometimes they will give you one of theirs! Pant people love to share! :)
Many people, knowing me, are shocked that I have plants (that are alive)! So, there is hope! :P
How amazing it is when seeing those plants blooms in desert! Must be really beautiful and lively.
I think I watered too much and not paying enough attention on what the type of cacti I had really need.
I think you are that kind of person who has high attention to details and you observe things, pay attention to people around you.. so I think your plants will definitely survive under your care!! :)
Thanks for your kind words! :) I think the plant know better though! :P
I'll let you know next time we have a great wildflower bloom in the desert. It's unpredictable in advance. Depends of the amount and timing of the rains that year... It's amazing how tenacious life can be!! I have some older pics:
