I Just HAD Too...
When they dropped the price, I just couldn't wait any longer! I looked very closely at what I wanted to be able to do with a single integrated device - and the iPhone does it all - elegantly! I am delighted so far. :)
Just came in today (I tracked it all the way from China!) And got everything going already. Activated, email set up, as is voice mail, Wi-Fi is working... pretty slick! (watching Youtubes with Wi-Fi is *very* cool!)
I don't think the price is that high now, considering the price of some smart phones on the market now, and the fact that it is a *real* ipod in every way.

no way!!!
when do u wanna throw it away? give it to me ya!!
lol
enjoy ur new phone
You can see it's my hand in the picture... :P
One "problem" I have heard of is that Americans visiting Europe and beyond are getting reamed (thousands of dollars) because of roaming charge fees over there. They forget that by default, your iPhone is always checking for emails, etc. The ATT plans cover all that in the price (all you can eat networking) in the US.
But those wily devil foriegn operators are making huge profits from roaming charges, and have little reason to curtail them. Great article in The Economist about *that*. Did you get to visit those dudes in London and give my regards? ;)
Next time you are hassling, err, I mean visiting with your local Apple Genius, have them show you the iPhones features. Truly, a thing of beauty.
Apple London is where Steve Jobs just announced the iPhone for Britain soon. I bet it is awesome! Could be a lot more Mac users since Vista is even more horrible than the usual new Microsoft OS release. Some vendors are even allowing new PCs to have XP still, which MS never allows usually... ^^
The Economist is awesome! Best pub out there, I think. The online version is HERE Many of the world's leaders read it. A bit pricey, but you can get a company subscription, right? I'm sure you'll be passing it around the office, because it covers almost everything in the world! ^^
I want to see pictures soon! VOX allows you to batch upload from your PC. Know about that??
Hugs to being back! :)
I am dying of envy. Can one truly die from envy? Well, you are looking at one now. *pout*.
What a dream phone you've got there. WiFi, Email, Voicemail etc etc... is there anything else this phone can't do? Ergh, my hands are itching to touch it, feel it and... and... to snatch it for myself. Grrrr...
It's just so sleek, smooth, attractive inside out.
Mikey, I am dehydrating fast here. Losing all my fluid fast due to excessive drooling and hyperventilation. *The muse dropped death with a dull thud on the cement floor*.
It's also not cheap. I was just looking at all I want to do in one package, and it made sense to me. Compared to getting any other smartphone + new iPod. The Touch is like iPhone, without the phone. hehe. But to me, not having all the phone wireless can provide, limits the functionality I've always wanted. It has Edge high speed anywhere, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Edge isn't as fast as some of the new wireless broadband technologies, but it's everywhere and sure beats the heck out of nothing! The real deal is the data plan - all you can eat (so to speak) data from AT&T. That use to be the killer - it could cost so much for the data connection, that you where afraid to use it. Now, the iPhone just does it behind the scenes, and you don;t have to worry about the cost each month! :)
So, it's the whole seamless package that makes it so cool! It can almost replace a laptop in many ways. Someone was talking about Pan's Labyrinth today, and just popped up the trailer on Youtube. Too cool!
When they dropped the price to $399 for the 8gb, I really didn't have a choice. ^^ And I do LOVE it!
OK, so let's get you re-hydrated now! ;)
I must say, the iPhone is definitely a dream phone and a good buy. Damn sexy. Opps, pardon my language here. I can't help it :D
They;ve just come out here, but they're £700 or something. I've read that you can get simular phones cheaper, but this one just looks so cool :)
The iPhone will be released in the UK on the 9th November. The phones will be sold in O2 stores, Carphone Warehouse stores, Apple retail stores, and online at the iPod UK Store. It will cost £269 including VAT.
The iPhone will be on the O2 network. It will be on an 18-month contract on a tariff of £35 (200 minutes and 200 texts), £45 (600 minutes and 500 texts) and £55 per month (1200 minutes and 500 texts), all of which will include unlimited mobile data usage.
Damn sexy indeed - Just like Maria! ;)
