Had a wildfire not too far from here today. Fire Air Tankers "Superscoopers" on loan from Canada helped save the day! No people were hurt and no houses burned.... The scoop water from the Sweetwater Resavoir near us.
Well, it's that time of year again! I took the week off, so I could see most of the best films and documentaries. This year for the first time, there will be screenings at UCR (University of California at Riverside) Home of Daynah! :)
First night was awesome! Featuring Ping Pong Playa - an Asian-American comedy by Jessica Yu, staring Jimmy Tsai, Roger Fan and Smith Cho... I have pictures on my Flickr featured below.

More pix from the San Diego County Fair...
Well, John and I survived the County Fair, even if we had a flat tire on the way back! It was a great San Diego day, warm, but with balmy breezes! We went early and left about 1:30pm, mission accomplished. So many little kiddies there with their school classes. The most fun thing we saw was the "Turkey Races" - Yes, real turkeys!! I made a bunch of shots for a school teacher there and gave her my email to send them along. Dat's why so many on my Flickr! ^^

From Phil's BBQ in San Diego - Chick-less Dinner: Chunks of white meat chicken seasoned and BBQ’d, with baked potato!! OMG! So good!!
Sun Tea! Just add tea bags and sun does the work! Can't "burn" it. So refreshing after visit to fridge for a few hours with ice cubes to tinkle in glass...
